Watercare’s Northern Interceptor project aimed to redirect flow of a in-situ sewer infrastructure to the nearby Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant in Albany. The new infrastructure was constructed using advanced tunneling technology to successfully drill from the causeway under the Waitematā Harbor to Rahui Road reserve for pipeline installation.
Our consultants were tasked with implementing a fully ISO45001, 9001 and 14001 compliant integrated management system in an international setting, including gap analysis of New Zealand vs Australian legislative requirements to ensure compliance with local regulations. We were tasked with ensuring ongoing implementation and review of the following elements of the ISO integrated management system including associated WHS / HSEQ policies and procedures:
- WHS Risk Management
- WHS Training and Competency
- Consultation, Cooperation and Coordination
- Contractor Management
- Inspections and Audits
- Incident Reporting and Investigation
