Developing a Strong Safety Culture Training

This course will help you understand what a Safety Culture is in an organisation. It’s characterized by the everyday behaviour of employees and teams that align with organisational safety goals.

Participants will be able:

  • Identify the elements and behavioural characteristics that make up a strong Safety Culture.
  • Evaluate the behaviours within the organization that contribute to a strong Safety Culture.
  • Understanding why safety awareness may not be improved by systems and processes alone is important.
  • Measure WHS perceptions using methods.
  • Explain the importance of reporting in a positive workplace.

Our trainers are all qualified, experienced consultants who have worked in many industries. To meet your organization’s specific needs, private courses can be tailored and customized by qualified facilitators.

A Positive Safety Culture

The safety of workers must be a core value of the organisation and a priority. You and the staff you supervise must be involved in safety management. They should also be responsible for managing workplace risks.

Safety culture can be described as the way safety is managed at work. It often refers to the attitudes, beliefs and perceptions of employees in relation to safety. By adopting a safety culture and showing strong leadership qualities, you can shift safety from priority to value, increase personal accountability and commitment to safety by your employees and help to build positive attitudes.

This workshop will focus on how organisations can adopt an integrated approach that considers systems, individual values, needs, company culture, and staff behaviour.

This course is for team leaders, coordinators, managers, frontline staff, volunteers, health safety representatives, safety officers, and members of the Health Safety Committees.
