The Lihir mine borders the Pacific Ocean, and as such a planned expansion required construction upgrades including resealing / relining of existing pipeline infrastructure via HDD methods. Located amidst the pristine islands of the pacific ocean, environmental management and as well as international WHS considerations were a significant challenge.
We assisted in WHS and HSEQ support for this project including documentation development, implementation and oversite in an offsite role.
