Servicing all of Australia
Mount Gambier WHS and safety consultants — compliance auditing, safety management systems and ISO 45001 readiness across plantation forestry and harvesting, sawmilling and wood products, dairy and meat processing, Coonawarra viticulture, quarrying, transport and civil.
Spire Safety is an Australian WHS consultancy delivering WHS compliance auditing, safety management systems, ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 readiness and general WHS consulting to Mount Gambier, the Limestone Coast / Green Triangle and wider South Australia. We work with softwood plantation forestry growers and harvesting contractors, sawmilling and wood-products manufacturers across the Green Triangle, dairy processors, red-meat and small-goods processing, viticulture and wineries across the Coonawarra, quarrying and civil contractors, transport and heavy-haulage operators on the Riddoch and Princes Highways, construction contractors, and health, aged-care and professional-services firms.
We're Brisbane-based and deliver Mount Gambier work remote-first — documentation, systems build, gap analysis and audit prep happen offsite, with on-site time scoped only where it genuinely adds value: mobilisation, site walks, internal audits and close-out. Travel is scoped up front so the fee doesn't get loaded with desk work done from a hotel room.
Every Mount Gambier engagement is led by a senior consultant. You speak directly with the person scoping the work, writing the report and presenting the findings.
Independent audits against the WHS Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice — with a written report you can act on.
Practical safety management systems built around your operation — not template dumps.
Readiness for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 — gap review, documentation and audit support.
General WHS advisory, incident support and project-based safety help — on-site or remote.
A short walkthrough of how our independent WHS compliance audits are scoped, run and reported for South Australia operations.
Mount Gambier engagements are led by Nathan Owen — 15 years across WHS and HSEQ, postgraduate qualifications in WHS and business, and a tertiary teaching background that shows up in how findings are written and presented — alongside Tanya Protasova, who brings 10 years across construction and engineering and specialises in AS/ISO-aligned management systems. On larger Mount Gambier jobs Jodie Rice steps in for risk management, system implementation and auditing, with Arley Serrano supporting QA/QC, inspections and audit documentation.
South Australian and Australia-wide clients we've worked with include G2 Netting, alongside Narungga Nations, Doorworx, Flight Training Adelaide, Winkle Shopfitters, Australian Energy Market Operator (Adelaide office).
We don't publish a full client list — most engagements involve confidential documentation and findings.
